While he won’t allow himself to become romantically involved with a thief, he can certainly help out a friend by curing his daughter of bad habits. They both fight their growing attraction, Kent because dishonesty is the one trait he cannot tolerate, and Daisy because Kent is directly interfering with her long-range career goals. But when an unskilled matchmaker tries his hand at getting them together, the unexpected happens to them both as Kent gets distracted and Daisy steals his heart! This was a cute read, I really enjoyed it. Daisy has been hired on to be a shoplifter at a department store. She steals from various departments and then writes up reports on what the store can do to prevent shoplifters. One night she is caught by the head of security, Kent.
I was sent to steal from him not to fall in love. Jade: I only became a con artist to try to save my father’s life. Now I’m in debt to the mob, with no choice but to work for them. Okay, fine: I’ll get close to some biker and steal his bike. Except the biker turns out to be Max: my first kiss, my first love.
Sparks fly and both are attracted to one another. The problem is Kent thinks she’s a shoplifter and until her job is done she can’t tell him the truth. They had fun chemistry together. Besides the whole shoplifting and lack of trust angle, there isn’t a lot of conflict in their relationship, which is fine if you’re in the mood for a fun light-hearted story.
I liked Daisy’s matchmaking boss Mr. It’s kind of left that there may be another book (maybe two, one for each of Daisy’s sisters), and I hope there is. Overall, a super cute chick-lit type book that will definitely keep you entertained. Now I have to decide which of Darcy's books I should read next!Content: Clean. My second time reading Steal His Heart and it's still a 5 star read for me!
I absolutely loved Daisy and Kent! They were hilarious!Daisy is working as a shoplifter and Kent is working security in the same department store.

When Kent found out that Daisy was the daughter of his mentor he tells himself that he needs to 'help' her overcome the shoplifting habit for her father's sake. He was a stubborn man who refused to admit his feelings about Daisy.
Daisy really had a hard time lying to Kent. She wanted to tell him what she was really doing but in order to do her job she could not tell him. She had to let him think the worst of her just until she finished the job and then she hoped he would be able to understand why she had to lie in the first place.Of course there are little ups and downs before they get their HEA.
And let me tell you. Some of those ups and downs will have you giggling or just straight laughing out loud! I loved the ending of this book. It was perfect!I couldn't help but notice this time around that this book is set up to be a possible series. I wonder if Daisy's sisters will eventually get their own books?! Crossing my fingers that they will!
I'm thinking that Sam and Lily's story would be a fun read as well!;)Steal His Heart was one of the first books I read by Diane Darcy and she instantly became a favorite of mine! I would recommend her books to everyone! Can't wait to read even more by her! Daisy’s a security expert helping a big department store figure out ways to cut back on shoplifting. Her plan entails shoplifting and then writing up reports on places the store needs to watch and heighten security.
But when Daisy gets caught by the Kent in security, everything changes. Thinking she’s a thief, Kent is disgusted by her and especially his attraction to her. Daisy can’t let him know what she’s really up to, or her plans will be thwarted. She has no other option but to finish the job by stealing from several more departments in the weeks ahead. She’s just going to have to be more careful not to get caught by Kent.
But as Kent discovers who her father is, he is determined to reform the kleptomaniac, but in the process, their hearts get tangled up in a sticky, but delicious mess. Clean, fun romance. To be honest, I didn't finish this book. I got as far as the wedding and I'd had it with both Kent and Daisy - especially Kent. I roll my eyes shuddering if he is the example of a swoon-worthy hottie. He's domineering, overbearing, jealous, possessive and thinks he has the right to 'change the girl' - grrrrr, even though she was 'acting outside the law'. He is also dumb.

Original and fun.
These little Diane Darcy shorty books (novellas?) are so fun! This one was a great distraction and escape. The premise is darling, too. The kissing was more, uh, involved than the other books of Diane Darcy that I have read. I would flip it on up to a PG13 for that reason. There was one Glaring problem, and it was an editor thing: the word 'y'all' is short for You All.
Basic grammar, it's the 2nd person, plural. Never would you say 'Y'all' to refer to one person, unless your friend was Too cute. These little Diane Darcy shorty books (novellas?) are so fun! This one was a great distraction and escape.

Never would you say 'Y'all' to refer to one person, unless your friend was an acknowledged multiple personality, but it would be awkward even then. Diane Darcy loves to read and write lighthearted and funny books.
